Chris had already got one norm from playing for Bristol in the 4NCL last season. He is now hoping to get the third and final norm he needs for the International Master title at the British Championship in August.
In the Rating Tournament held alongside, John Richards achieved his first FIDE rating of 2025 by scoring 4½/9. Roger Hardy scored 3½ which, combined with his inactive rating of 2070, gave him a new rating of 2030.
