'Chess Coaching with ECF Regional Master Richard Savory'

Hi everyone! I'm looking for people of all ages who want to learn the game of chess or who already play and want to improve. I am an ECF Regional Master who is conscientious, patient and kind natured and who gets on well with all people from the youngest child to the oldest adult!
 
One of my earliest achievements was to win the Norfolk Junior Chess Champion title at the age of 15, just a couple of years after I started playing chess. Within a year of this I won the Minor Chess Championships of Great Britain with 5½/6.
 
More recently, in 2006, I achieved my best ever individual game result which was to draw with Grand Master Zoltan Medvegy (c.2540/235) in the Liverpool International Chess tournament. My best ever win is still against Harriet Hunt (c.2450/225) in the international quickplay tournament at Hastings.  More recently again I finished 3rd = in the Costwold Congress in May 2011
 
My coaching is tailored to each student. To begin with I will conduct an appraisal of the student to identify the main areas of study required. Then I will put together a bespoke chess course structured to the student’s needs designed to gain the most improvement and confidence.
