Dave played for Patchway for many years and many Bristol players would have known him.

Dave had recently been diagnosed with a brain tumour made worse by the discovery of lung cancer.

He apparently died peacefully in his sleep at The Bloomfield Care Centre, Paulton

His funeral will be at 2.30pm Thursday 12th May at the Haycombe Cemetery, Whiteway Road Bath.
