Gloucestershire Cricket Community Day  -  Aug 10th 2022

Thanks go to Chris Beaumont & Oli Stubbs for providing a Chess stall which included Blindfold and Blitz all day !

Gloucestershire’s first Community Day was a great success.  As well as 'chess in the tent’  the Army, Navy, RAF and police provided lots of varied activities.
The chess tent went down well, and was full on all day long.  The icing on the cake was an afternoon visit from the legend himself;  Dave (Sid) Lawrence.. He had always wanted to learn how to play chess.. Today was his chance !

Not to forget that there was also a 50 over game going on between Gloucestershire and Nottinghamshire .. Believe it or not, chasing 295 to win (they had been 115 - 4) Gloucestershire got there with 10 overs to spare !
